Malware poses a rising threat to enterprise security. Many of the attack vectors rely on workers doing something such as clicking on email links, social engineering attacks, sticking infected USB’s, CD’s or DVD’s in enterprise drives, etc. Since many of these attacks out-strip the ability of enterprise technological defences, enterprises wanting to mitigate their risk need to keep the awareness level raised in their workers minds. That’s what our quarterly malware service can do very quickly and cost effectively.

Every quarter, we publish a enterprise customized three minute Flash program that continually keeps the
worker malware awareness at a high level. We use recent stories and news bulletins to highlight in the worker’s mind why they need to pay attention when they are clicking on emails, inserting devices into drives and for social engineering attacks.

It only takes 4 minutes of your workers time to view, delivered in the worker’s language, branded as if it comes from the enterprise, with local contact information at the end of the program. Individual programs cost $975 while the four programs as a quarterly service cost $945 each.

Does all this prevent attacks? With malware desktop clean up costs estimated to be up to $500 per desktop, the answer is if it saves only one attack against your enterprise, it will pay for itself many times over. Will it protect the enterprise? No. You need multiple layers of defence, of which user security awareness is but only one component.
